Guide to the Barrakud Festival
The Barrakud Festival is one of the most important festivals held in Croatia during the summer and a reference point for enthusiasts. It takes place in August in Pag, Croatia, specifically on Zrce Beach. The festival will consist of numerous events in the 3 most exclusive venues in the area and boat parties.
How to reach the Barrakud Festival
The nearest airport to the city where the Festival is held is Zadar, which can be reached from Italy with several flights from Rome. They are direct and last less than 1.5 hours. If you want to depart from other cities, you need to consider at least one layover and higher prices.
From Zadar airport, you can take a bus that will leave you at the main bus station after about 10 minutes. The ticket can be purchased directly on board. From there, several buses depart that take an hour and a half to reach Novalja, the closest city to the festival.
By ferry to Pag
As an alternative to flying, the most convenient and economical solution is the fast ferry from Pesaro, which arrives directly in Novalja in just 5 hours. Pesaro is easily reachable from all over Italy by car (A14 Bologna-Taranto motorway) or by train (regional trains, Frecce, and high-speed trains along the Adriatic coast).

Novalja is one of the most popular destinations for those visiting the island of Pag. The city is well-organized for tourists and offers services suitable for all budgets. Furthermore, many of the most beautiful beaches on the island can be found in its surroundings. Don’t miss the Gradac Belvedere, from which you can observe the entire island.
